BA THIEN KINDERGARTEN WON THE THIRD PRIZE IN THE “CHILD-CENTERED KINDERGARTEN DEVELOPMENT” COMPETITION

On May 2, 2024, Ba Thien Kindergarten received a Certificate of Commendation from the Director of the Lam Dong Department of Education and Training for winning the Third Prize in the “Child-Centered Kindergarten Development” competition.

The “Child-Centered Kindergarten Development” competition took place from April 8 to April 22, with the participation of 24 kindergartens from 12 districts and cities across Lam Dong province. The participants were evaluated on several criteria, including a report on their specialized implementation experience (solutions and achievements), effective utilization of educational environments that encourage children to explore through nurturing and educational activities, and practical activities in the kitchen, as well as group and classroom dining organization.

This competition serves to enhance the awareness and competency of kindergarten managers and teachers in organizing and utilizing nurturing, caregiving, and educational environments that are child-centered and adapted to the specific conditions of each school and locality. It also promotes the creation of a green, safe, friendly, and happy environment where nurturing, caregiving, and educational activities are organized through various forms such as learning through play and experiential activities. Ultimately, this contributes to improving the quality of Early Childhood Education.

Summary of the “Child-Centric Kindergarten Development” Competition

On May 4th, at Bon Hong Private Kindergarten (Duc Trong District), the Department of Education and Training held a summary of the provincial “Child-Centric Kindergarten Development” competition for the 2023-2024 academic year.

The “Child-Centric Kindergarten Development” competition was launched by the Department of Education and Training from April 8th to April 22nd. The competition saw participation from 24 kindergartens across 12 districts and cities in the province. The participants included in their entries: reports on experiences implementing the theme (solutions; achieved results); practices in exploiting and effectively using the educational environment allowing children to experience and explore in various forms during the organization of nurturing, caring, and educational activities; practical activities in the kitchen and organized eating in classes.

As a result, the organizing committee commended and awarded 24 educational institutions, with Bong Hong Private Kindergarten (Duc Trong District) taking first prize; there were also 9 second prizes, 10 third prizes, and 4 encouragement prizes. Additionally, the committee also commended 12 outstanding individuals.

The competition provided an opportunity to enhance the awareness and capabilities of kindergarten management staff and teachers in organizing and utilizing environments for nurturing, caring, and educating from a child-centric perspective, suitable for the specific conditions of each school, class, and locality; contributing to the improvement of the quality of the preschool education program.
