One question I always ponder over is “What do our parents truly need”? It is not difficult to answer, during preschool age, parents just need their children to go to school every day happily, to be well taken care of by teachers, to eat well with an optimal nutrition plan, and not to worry about getting sick when the weather changes, not have to cry every morning when their parents take them to school. And every afternoon, we will see the heart-warming smiles of our children when we come to school to pick them up, listen to their story about a day at the kindergarten, and afterwards we spend some time playing with them, to see our children grow every day, to be more active, more knowledgeable, more skilled, more attached to the school, to their friends.

Eventually, Ba Thien Kindergarten will become a second home to our children.

At that time, we, the parents, will be very happy for the investment in our children for their very first years of education, as I believe the parents would regret nothing in investing for their own children. On that ground, what do we need to do to best coordinate with the parents?

We always try to be practical when building a learning environment for the children, everything can learn and play with almost anything they see at school. Our academic programs are based on the current preschool education programs, integrating more advanced and up-to-date teaching methods such as Montessori specializing in individual skills, Reggio Emilia specializing in discovery, Glenn Doman specializes in language development and STEAM specializes in creativity and group work. These elements are the foundation for us to build an open and child-centered educational environment.

Ba Thien Kindergarten is built and designed in unique ways to enable the children to play, to read, to write anywhere they are pleased, not just in the classrooms. In other words, 70% of children’s activities at our school are outside the classrooms.

Out school set high expectation for our teaching staff, that every children must be able to learn efficiently with all the materials availble. For instance: the children can read aloud Vietnamese and English words written on the walls, tree stumps, fences, stairs.

Our teachers ensure that every children will have a wonderful story to tell their parents about what they have learned at Ba Thien Kindergarten.

Every afternoon, our children would happily to play with the parents at their favourite places of the School, to share their own vision about the wonderful world the parents.

Almost all toys, equipment, utilities of Ba Thien Kindergarten are carefully selected for the common needs of our children. Therefore, when stopping by our school every afternoon, we could see our beloved children playing together with an immense joy, seeing them riding bicycles, travelling, and exploring the kid’s city within the campus with many interesting corners such as sand and water playgrounds. Everyday at Ba Thien Kindergarten end like that, it is so common that we have to close the School gate at 6pm, even later, as the love of our children toward the preschool is endless.

Our school regularly organizes many extra-curricular activities, especially activities for children to familiarize themselves with English, held weekly in the late afternoon and the School always encourages the parents to participate.

OneKids student management app is being applied by the School and the parents and has received great support and satisfaction from the parents in working together to manage and take care of their children both at school and at home. Any requests and questions from the parents are promptly resolved, along with the School’s hotline, which is always open and answered 24/7.

As the School leader, it is my responsibility to remember 90% of the names of the children attending the School and the names of their parents. Every day, I will spend 2 hours at the School opening and 2 hours at the school to meet and comminicate with the parents. I will directly cooperate with the parents and the head teachers in handling any issues related to our children.

And what have we achieved so far?

Every day at School is a happy day, our parents have a complete trust in our School. We always plan to reinvest in facilities, renew equipment, and improve the working conditions and benefits of the teaching staff so that they can rest assured to work and devote to properly raising and teaching our children. Almost all materials of the School are efficiently used for teaching and educating our children. 

And to this day, Ba Thien Kindergarten has prospered. Our School is now more innovative and spacious, operating at full capacity with more than 15 classrooms and 10 function rooms with full utensils and equipment to satisfy the standards of a top-tiered kindergarten. The number of children at our School is stable, not less than 450 children with several teams of teachers and staff of over 70 people.
